Career Track

Parthenon has a relatively flat organizational structure with only three major levels in the firm: Associate, Principal and Partner.

The path from Principal to Partner typically lasts from 5 to 7 years and passes through multiple stages. In the first phase of development, Principals are largely focused on gaining the strategic skill set that is fundamental to the firm. Following this stage, Principals begin to more actively manage projects, gaining primary responsibility for senior client relationships and the management of Associates. The final stage for Principals, prior to reaching the position of Partner, involves the leadership of broad client relationships and projects with minimal oversight, and is accompanied by receiving the title Senior Principal.

While the Principal career track roughly follows these phases, Parthenon does not confine its Principals into defined job descriptions or slow them down with promotion timelines. Principals are bound only by their ability to successfully handle responsibility and deliver long-term results to clients. Advancement is based entirely on merit and accomplishment, not tenure.
