Professional Development
Parthenon invests heavily in the professional development of our principals. At Parthenon, we believe each individual has unique needs and motivations, and therefore professional development is best accomplished through a customized program of training, staffing and mentorship.
Training
While Parthenon assumes that as a principal you will arrive with the basic M.B.A. skill set, we provide a formal training program to develop specific job skills. You will begin your Parthenon experience with a training program in which you will learn:
- Parthenon's approach to strategic analysis
- Work planning
- Associate management
- Client relationship development
Formal principal training is continuous; however, the most intensive training occurs on-the-job where you will learn to address a broad array of business problems in a multitude of industries under the guidance of senior members of their case teams.
Staffing
Parthenon's staffing method aims to maintain the highest quality of work for clients while meeting the developmental needs of our principals. Throughout your experience at Parthenon, you will have the ability to influence your staffing assignments and maintain an active role in the direction of your development. One of the unique aspects of Parthenon is the two-case model when, as a principal, you are given the opportunity to work on two client engagements, diversifying your exposure to different business problems and acquiring a broad range of skills and experience at a rapid rate.
Mentoring
As a principal you will be assigned two mentors; one career mentor who provides help and support concerning work and career issues, and a peer mentor who acts as a more informal mentor, helping you adjust to work and life at Parthenon.
