Bill Achtmeyer,
Chairman and Managing Partner
Mr. Achtmeyer has guided Parthenon's vision since its founding. He is a recognized expert in corporate and business unit strategy and in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Achtmeyer was a Director at Bain & Company where he led the mergers and acquisitions practice. Mr. Achtmeyer is Chairman of the Board of Overseers at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of Belmont Hill School. He is former Chairman of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. He is also an Overseer for the Handel and Haydn Society and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Achtmeyer is a member of the boards of Citizens Energy Corporation and Briggs and Stratton Corporation. Mr. Achtmeyer holds a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University and an M.B.A. from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Jim Hsu Senior Partner
Mr. Hsu focuses on corporate strategy, profit improvement, and mergers and acquisitions. He has worked extensively in financial services, information, publishing, and manufacturing businesses. In addition, he oversees professional development, recruiting, and human resources and is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Previously, he worked with the consulting firm Corporate Decisions, Inc. (CDI), where he worked primarily in the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Hsu holds a B.S.E. magna cum laude in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University and an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Jenny Senior Partner
Mr. Jenny has a long history of advising senior executives on corporate and business strategy as well as growth strategy. He also is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Jenny was a Partner at Bain & Company. Mr. Jenny also has ten years of experience running high growth and mid-market companies for private equity firms, including Bain Capital and The Noel Group. Mr. Jenny graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Mathematics from Dartmouth College and holds an M.B.A with high distinction from Harvard Business School. Mr. Jenny was recently appointed by President George W. Bush to serve on the President's Export Council, the nation's premier advisory committee on international trade. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Mac-Gray Corporation.

Kosmo Kalliarekos
Senior Partner, Education Center of Excellence
Mr. Kalliarekos heads the firm's Education Industry Center of Excellence. For over 15 years, he has advised clients on issues related to operational excellence, strategy development, and new venture creation. His clients include a wide range of organizations from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and some of the world's largest foundations. Mr. Kalliarekos has been a featured speaker on issues relating to the education industry at several forums, including the Congressional Joint Committee on Education, The World Bank and the American Association of Publishers among others. Mr. Kalliarekos holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. with high distinction from Harvard Business School.
Frank
O'Connell
Senior Partner
Mr. O'Connell recently returned from leading our San Francisco office and specializes in consumer-branded goods and retail. Mr. O'Connell has extensive operating experience running and repositioning companies, as well as leading turnaround initiatives. He most recently served as CEO and Chairman of the Board for Indian Motorcycle. Previously, Mr. O'Connell was Chairman, President and CEO of Gibson Greetings, Inc. Mr. O'Connell has led other branded companies including Reebok, HBO Video and Skybox International. He spent the first 14 years of his career running food companies and developing brands. He is known for strategic thinking, building brand, breakthrough marketing and new product ideas. He currently sits on the board of TreeHouse Foods Inc., a public company, and is co-founder of Tuckerman Capital. He serves on the Advisory Boards of the Johnson Graduate School of Management, the Personal Enterprise Program, and the Undergraduate Business Program at Cornell University, where he earned his B.S. in Economics and his M.B.A.
Greg Pappas
Senior Partner,
Private Equity Practice Head
Mr. Pappas is the leader of the firm’s Private Equity Practice.
His focus includes strategic due diligence services and services
to portfolio companies on issues such as business strategy development
and operating improvement. Previously, Mr. Pappas was with Deloitte
and Touche’s Audit and Financial Services Group where he advised
on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Pappas holds a B.S. summa cum laude
in Accounting from Lehigh University and is a certified public accountant
and certified management accountant. He received his M.B.A. with
distinction from Harvard Business School.

Jay Bartlett
Partner
Mr. Bartlett is a Partner in Parthenon's Private Equity Practice where his work includes conducting due diligence of and developing strategy for companies in the consumer products, retail, publishing and education industries. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Bartlett was Director of Business Development for the Salt Lake Olympic Committee and Olympics.com, and was a consultant with Bain & Company. Mr. Bartlett received his B.A. in economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Vermont, and completed his MBA at the Amos Tuck School of Business, where he was elected Edward Tuck Scholar.
Tamara Butler Battaglino
Partner
Ms. Battaglino co-leads the firm's Education Center of Excellence. For over 10 years, she has advised clients on issues related to operational excellence, strategy development, and new venture creation. Her clients include a wide range of organizations from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and some of the world's largest foundations. While at Parthenon, Ms. Battaglino has worked extensively with companies in the information and education sector, partnering with clients spanning the K12, higher education, and corporate training continuum. Ms. Battaglino holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Wiley Bell
Partner, Consumer & Retail Practice Head
Mr. Bell has broad experience across a wide range of industries with
over 25 years advising senior executives on strategic issues in North
America, Europe and Latin America. His specialties include health
care, restaurants, media, beverages and consumer durables. Prior to
joining Parthenon, Mr. Bell was a senior professional at Mars &
Co. after beginning his career at Bain & Company. Mr. Bell holds
a B.A. in Economics with high honors from Haverford College and an
M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Roger Brinner Partner
and Chief Economist
Dr. Brinner is the Chief Economist of The Parthenon Group. He is well known as an expert economist and articulate analyst of the U.S. and international economies, and he has many long-term relationships with corporate clients on issues relating to enterprise strategies and planning. Dr. Brinner's experience includes senior positions at respected business, academic, and government institutions. Dr. Brinner has been a professor at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and for more than 20 years, led the preeminent economic research group Standard & Poors / Data Resources. Dr. Brinner received a B.A. in Economics from Kalamazoo College and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.

Karl Cheng Partner
Mr. Cheng has advised a broad range of clients in the information/publishing, financial services, technology, and education sectors. His functional areas of expertise include corporate strategy, pricing, and competitive assessment. In addition, Mr. Cheng leads the firm's recruiting efforts. Mr. Cheng also has extensive international experience, having advised clients and worked in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Prior to joining Parthenon, he worked at Booz · Allen & Hamilton and ExxonMobil Corporation. Mr. Cheng received an A.B. from Harvard College, magna cum laude in Economics, as well as an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
Todd Clark Partner
Mr. Clark has consulted with senior executives in an extensive range of industries over the past 12 years advising clients on business unit strategies, product portfolio issues, profitable growth and cost structure. Mr. Clark’s industry experience includes restaurants, packaged food, CPG, healthcare and automobiles. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Clark spent a decade with the consulting firm Mars & Company. He received his A.B. with Honors from Occidental College and his M.B.A. from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business where he was elected an Edward Tuck Scholar.
Ian Godden
Senior
Advisor
Mr. Godden is Senior Advisor to the Parthenon Group and is based in the firm's London office. He has extensive experience in international strategy consulting, having previously been UK Managing Partner of Roland Berger and of Booz Allen Hamilton. He began his career in the oil industry with BP and has worked in the oil, industrial, aerospace and defense markets throughout the world. He is also a successful entrepreneur, having established IPG, a strategy consultancy, which he sold to Roland Berger, and Glenmore Energy Inc, a US oil and gas company. Mr. Godden is a non-executive director of E2V Technologies PLC, Havelock Europa PLC and Concordas Ltd. Mr. Godden has an MBA from Stanford University and an Engineering degree from Edinburgh University, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Chip Greene
Partner, Mumbai Office Head
Mr. Greene’s work focuses on growth strategies, mergers &
acquisitions, sales force optimization and profit improvement. Previously,
he was with Bain & Company and he took a leave from Parthenon
to serve as an operational Vice-President for the health care company
Total Renal Care. Mr. Greene graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta
Kappa with an A.B. in Engineering from Dartmouth College, holds
an M.S. in Engineering from the Thayer School and an M.B.A. from
the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Leo Hermacinski
Partner
Mr. Hermacinski advises technology-based clients on corporate strategy.
He assists companies on strategy issues of growth and profit improvement.
Previously he worked at Motorola as a senior engineer and at the
MITRE Corporation designing satellite communications systems. Mr.
Hermacinski holds a B.S. and M.S. with distinction in Electrical
Engineering from the University of London and a Masters of Management
from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Mark Jeynes Partner
Mr. Jeynes is a Partner in Parthenon’s Private Equity Practice in London. Since joining Parthenon in 1999, he has advised corporate clients on growth strategy and operational improvement, as well as providing strategic due diligence services to the private equity community. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Jeynes worked for HSBC in their Hong Kong, Singapore and Qatar offices and with Booz-Allen & Hamilton in their London Financial Institutions Practice. Mr. Jeynes holds a degree in Banking & Finance from Loughborough University and an M.B.A. from London Business School where he was a Friends Scholar and Fleming Scholar.
Mark Laudy
Partner, San Francisco Office Head
Mr. Laudy oversees the firm’s San Francisco office. His work focuses on business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions and growth. Mr. Laudy works extensively with private equity clients on issues of strategic due diligence, and also advises corporations in the consumer products, technology, and financial services industries. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Laudy was with the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, and also with the data communications company Riverstone Networks. Mr. Laudy graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. from Yale College and received a J.D. with Distinction from Stanford Law School.
Robert Lytle
Partner
In addition to advising clients on profit improvement and corporate
strategy, Mr. Lytle has participated in a number of high profile
corporate turn arounds, mergers, and divestitures in Europe and
North America. In addition, he is responsible for post-M.B.A. training
for the firm. Prior to joining Parthenon, Mr. Lytle was with Bain
& Co. and he has also served as a military aviator. He holds
a B.S.E. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the
University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A., with high distinction,
from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Tracy
Pun Palandjian
Managing Director, Parthenon Philanthropic Programs
Tracy leads Parthenon’s Non Profit Practice and chairs the Charitable Contributions Committee. Tracy’s broad range of consulting experiences includes clients in both the private and non-profit sectors. Her work has focused on strategy development, mission definition, and growth strategy. Tracy began her career at McKinsey & Co. and prior to joining Parthenon, was with Wellington Management Co., where she managed mutual fund accounts and advised clients in product development and portfolio strategies. A native of Hong Kong, Tracy is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. Tracy chairs the New England Advisory Board of Facing History and Ourselves, and serves on the Boards of Milton Academy, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Facing History and Ourselves. Tracy is also a Director of the Hong Kong Association of Massachusetts. Tracy graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College, with a B.A. in Economics, and holds an M.B.A with high distinction from Harvard Business School where she was a Baker Scholar.
Alistair Stranack
Partner, London Office Head
Mr. Stranack oversees the company's London office. Previously, he worked at ICI and at Bain & Company and was a founding partner of the European-based consulting firm, The Merit Partnership. Mr. Stranack has nearly twenty years of strategic consulting experience with both corporate and private equity clients on assignments in Europe, the US and Asia. His work has focused on portfolio and business unit strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and post-merger integration. He has worked principally for clients in the engineering, technology, education, publishing and media industries. Mr. Stranack holds a first class honors degree in Engineering Science from Oxford University and an M.B.A. with distinction from INSEAD.
Anthony Tjan Vice-Chairman
Most recently, Mr. Tjan was a Senior Partner with The Parthenon Group,
a leading strategy consulting firm where he continues as Vice Chairman.
In 1996, he founded the Internet and technology consulting company,
ZEFER (now Niteo Partners), where he was a driving force behind the
company's vision and growth to more than 700 people. Mr. Tjan holds
an A.B. in Biology from Harvard College, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School and completed a two-year appointment as a Belfer Center Fellow
at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
Mr. Tjan has been a frequent contributing author to publications including Red Herring Magazine and Harvard Business Review. For the March 2008 issue of Harvard Business Review, he co-authored the article, “Transforming Strategy One Customer at a Time”, which examines how customer-driven strategies can be applied in a B2B setting using an approach called Front End Customer Strategy.
Anne von Guionneau
Vice-Chairman of Parthenon Europe
Ms. von Guionneau brings with her over twenty years of strategy consulting experience. Previously, she was a partner at Bain & Company in its London, Paris, and Boston offices. She also ran Goldman Sachs' Strategic Advisory Group in Frankfurt and London, responsible for the idea generation pool for their European merger and acquisition practice. Ms. von Guionneau holds a B.A. Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan, an M.A. from Cambridge University, and an M.B.A With Distinction from Harvard Business School.
