Margot Rogers

Vice Chairman and Senior Advisor

Ms. Rogers joined The Parthenon Group in 2011 as a Vice Chairman and Senior Advisor to the firm’s Education Practice, where she brings more than 15 years of experience working on issues of education policy and practice in the public education sector.  Prior to joining Parthenon, Ms. Rogers served as Chief of Staff to the U.S. Department of Education Secretary, Arne Duncan. From 2004 to 2009, Ms. Rogers served in multiple roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including Deputy Director of Education and the Special Assistant to the Director of Education, where she managed the development of the foundation’s College-Ready education strategy and staff realignment, and also served on the education division’s investment committee and strategic leadership team. She has served on numerous education-related boards and advisory commissions, is currently on the Board of Directors for The Joyce Foundation, and is a member of the Review Boards for the Broad Prize for Urban Education and the Broad Prize for Public Charter Schools. Ms. Rogers holds a B.A. from Emory University, where she was a Truman Scholar, and a J.D. and an M.A. from the University of Virginia.  She is a member of the bar in Washington, D.C.
